Narcotics, Cash & Weapon Recovered During Metro Bust

On Thursday November 13, 2003 at approximately 10pm Agents with Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force concluded a six-month investigation by executing a search warrant at 329 Golden Grain Road. Members of the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office Special Reaction Team and Lafayette Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Unit assisted agents. During the search a 25-caliber handgun and narcotics that included Somas, Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, Dalaudid, and Liquid Codeine; were recovered, overall 900 pills with a value exceeding $12,000 also $9,135 in cash was seized. 62 year-old Jerry Thomas and 65 year-old Isabelle Thomas both of 329 Golden Grain Road were arrested, they are charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule III and Schedule IV Narcotics, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds.
