Aggravated Rape warrant issued

Thursday, August 5, 2004

On Thursday August 5, 2004 Juvenile Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office obtained an arrest warrant for 30 year-old Chad Logan Sampey on charges of Aggravated Rape. Mr. Sampey, who was an acquaintance of the victim's family, is wanted for the rape of an 11 year-old female. The incident occurred on Tuesday August 3, 2004 at the suspect's residence off of Pinhook Road.

Sheriff's Office Detectives are attempting to locate Mr. Sampey and are seeking any information on his whereabouts. He may be driving a blue 2002 Dodge Intrepid bearing Louisiana License LSZ365. If anyone has any information please contact the Lafayette Sheriff's Office at 232-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 232-Tips.
