20 Year Service Award Recipient
Congratulations to Captain Jules Broussard for 20 years of dedicated service to LPSO and the Citizens of Lafayette Parish.

Captain Broussard is the supervisor of LPSO Community Services Unit.

Teacher Thanks LPSO for Supporting Education!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of education, teachers and students in Lafayette Parish. I was one of the 12 finalists in the recent Lafayette Education Foundation (LEF) Teacher Awards ceremony. Without your support, it is possible that these types of ceremonies would not happen, and that teachers would not get to realize that they have people rooting for them in the community. I feel so wonderful that I was a part of this, that so many people value education. The positive effects of being a small part of this will stay with me for so long. It has strengthened my resolve to do as much as possible for the students of Lafayette Parish. Once again, thank you for all that you do to support education.

Sheriff's Web Site Expanded

Friday, October 6, 2006

Due to the tremendous response from the Citizens of Lafayette Parish in calling in over 1100 leads in three days during Operation Clean Up, Sheriff Mike W. Neustrom has once again advanced the technology of his web site. The web site will now include all active warrants that the Sheriff's Office has on file. This enables anyone to view all active warrants, and once again gives citizens the accessibility to help in keeping their parish safe by calling in any information concerning the whereabouts of a wanted person. It also gives notice to anyone who sees his or her name or photo listed on this site to immediately contact the Sheriff's Office to address this situation.

To access the active warrants list go to www.lafayettesheriff.com, click on Law Enforcement then Public Records. Click on Inmate/Arrest/Warrants Inquiry follow directions to access the Jades system then click View Warrants. The warrants listed here are real time and are updated automatically, as the warrant is closed the name is removed.
