ReHAB Triples Enrollment

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

When the ReHAB Program under the Corrections Division began in October 2008, it had eight clients. Today that number has tripled and now the program serves 24 with the potential for increasing to 36 clients.

ReHAB is a six month residential substance abuse program offered to inmates at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The program provides clients with the skills to remain abstinent from alcohol and drugs, handle life's stressors, gain and maintain employment, and transition into the community. Inmates are housed at the Work Release Center and attend treatment at the Community Corrections Center.
