Sheriff's Employees Donate Fans to the Elderly

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

On Monday June 13, 2009 employees of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office delivered over 100 box fans to the Lafayette Parish Council on Aging. The fans are distributed by the Council to elderly citizens who are in need.

This is an annual event the Sheriff's Office participates in; donations are collected from employees and the fans are donated to the Council on Aging.

Citizens in need may call the Council on Aging (337) 262-5990 to be placed on the list for a fan. Fans can either be picked up or will be delivered if the recipient is homebound.
