National Corrections Supervisor Awarded
Congratulation to Sgt. Armen Alexandrian who has been certified as a national corrections supervisor. Alexandrian passed a written test in August at the American Correctional Association (ACA) Convention in August. Alexandrian is one of three nationally certified supervisors in the Lafayette Parish Corrections Division.

School System Appreciates Inmate Worker Program

Dear Sheriff Neustrom:

The inmates along with Deputy Jon Fremin and Deputy John O'Neal have worked very hard at painting the Lafayette Parish Vermilion Conference Center. At the Conference Center we have 21 offices and 5 conference rooms, all of which were painted by the inmates and supervised by the Deputies. We would like to thank you for allowing these hard working inmates and Deputies to come here and do such a wonderful job for the Lafayette Parish School System. The supervisors and inmates were very courteous and thoughtful in all their work and actions. It really speaks highly of our Sheriff and everyone in his department. Thank you again for helping fulfill a need in our parish. 15-17 YR Winners for Sheriff Neustrom Youth Golf

Wednesday, July 3, 2002

Sheriff Michael W. Neustrom and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office hosted the 15,16 & 17 year old portion of the Sheriff Neustrom Youth Golf Tournament at Hebert Municipal Golf Course Wednesday, July 03, 2002. (This portion of the tournament was rescheduled from last week due to weather conditions.) Congratulations to the winners - First Place – David Proctor with a score of 79, Second Place – Josh Guidry – 81, and Third Place – Nathan Emerson who had a score of 84.
