Street Wise Female Self-Defense Class

Sheriff Michael W. Neustrom announces that the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct another Street Wise Female Self-Defense Class
on November 13, 2001. This class is designed to teach women how to reduce their chances of becoming a victim, what criminals look for in a victim, escape techniques, the use of mace, stun guns, etc. Participants may walk through the techniques or only observe. The class is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, 2001 from 6-8PM at the Sheriff’s Office Community Training Center, which is located at 111 South St. Antoine Street in Lafayette. There is no charge for this class, however participants must register by contacting Cheryl Mandella at 236-5607.
