Special Meeting of Law Enforcement District

Lafayette, Louisiana

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the Law Enforcement District of the Parish of Lafayette, State of Louisiana, has been ordered and called and will be held at its regular meeting place, the Sheriff's Office, 316 W. Main St., Lafayette, Louisiana, on Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at Two (2:00) o'clock p.m., for the following purposes, to-wit:

1. To consider and take action with respect to canvassing the results of a special election held on Tuesday, November 5, 2002, in the Law Enforcement Sub-District No. 1 of the Parish of Lafayette, State of Louisiana, to authorize the levy of a sales and use tax therein, and providing for other matters in connection therewith.
2. To consider the adoption of a resolution or ordinance providing for the levy and collection of said sales and use tax.
3. To consider and transact any and all other business which may be properly brought before the Sheriff of the Parish of Lafayette, as the ex officio Chief Executive Officer of the Law Enforcement District.

This will be an important meeting and all interested parties are urged to attend.
