National Corrections Supervisor Awarded
Congratulation to Sgt. Armen Alexandrian who has been certified as a national corrections supervisor. Alexandrian passed a written test in August at the American Correctional Association (ACA) Convention in August. Alexandrian is one of three nationally certified supervisors in the Lafayette Parish Corrections Division.

Food Net Board of Directors Appreciates LPSO Assis
Dear Mike, On behalf of the Board of Directors of Foodnet and the thousands of less-fortunate people who benefit from our food bank, I want to express our gratitude to you and the Department for the major role that you played in our annual Christmas Food Drive. The Twenty-Third annual KLFY-TV-10/Foodnet “Food for Families” food drive was a great success – one of our best. We finished with a total of seventy-four tons of food. Our success could not have been realized without your co-operation and the assistance of the Trustees. The courtesy and co-operation of my friend, Albert Glaude. Lafayette Sheriff's Office Investigates Carjacking

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a carjacking that occurred Friday morning on Malapart Road near the intersection of LeBesque Road. At approximately 12:40 AM Friday morning, two black male suspects approached the victim at the Shop Rite Store located at 1900 Dulles and asked for a ride. As requested, the victim drove the two suspects to Malapart Road, where the suspects attacked the victim, and stole his vehicle. The suspects were last seen heading East on Malapart Road near LeBesque in a 1989 light blue, Toyota Camry, LA Plate JOU055. The suspects are described as two black males – one wearing a white t shirt with baggy dark pants and a medium to large afro; the second suspect is described as wearing a dark shirt, dark pants, a baseball cap and a necklace/chain with a large medallion.
