National Corrections Supervisor Awarded
Congratulation to Sgt. Armen Alexandrian who has been certified as a national corrections supervisor. Alexandrian passed a written test in August at the American Correctional Association (ACA) Convention in August. Alexandrian is one of three nationally certified supervisors in the Lafayette Parish Corrections Division.

Food Net Board of Directors Appreciates LPSO Assis

Dear Mike, On behalf of the Board of Directors of Foodnet and the thousands of less-fortunate people who benefit from our food bank, I want to express our gratitude to you and the Department for the major role that you played in our annual Christmas Food Drive. The Twenty-Third annual KLFY-TV-10/Foodnet “Food for Families” food drive was a great success – one of our best. We finished with a total of seventy-four tons of food. Our success could not have been realized without your co-operation and the assistance of the Trustees. The courtesy and co-operation of my friend, Albert Glaude. Anthony Machiavelli extradited

Friday, November 16, 2001

Sheriff Michael W. Neustrom advises that Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office extradited 38-year-old Anthony Machiavelli from Maine on a warrant for 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the Marisco Homicide that occurred in July 1999. In July of 2000, a Lafayette Parish Grand Jury indicted Machiavelli on the 2nd Degree Murder charge. Machiavelli was extradited from Maine and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center Thursday at 2:00 PM.
