“ Thanks Given for support of Nofear Nofuture "Drinking and Driving Prevention" Program. Dear Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, Thank you all for your time and effort this year at Lafayette High. Teacher Thanks LPSO for Supporting Education!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of education, teachers and students in Lafayette Parish. I was one of the 12 finalists in the recent Lafayette Education Foundation (LEF) Teacher Awards ceremony. Without your support, it is possible that these types of ceremonies would not happen, and that teachers would not get to realize that they have people rooting for them in the community. I feel so wonderful that I was a part of this, that so many people value education. The positive effects of being a small part of this will stay with me for so long. It has strengthened my resolve to do as much as possible for the students of Lafayette Parish. Once again, thank you for all that you do to support education.
Yolanda B. Archambeault, M. Ed, Lafayette High

“ Dear Sherriff Neustrom, I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic job Agent George Crowder, Lt. Tony Ashy and Deputy Barry Baldwin did at our Diocese of Lafayette Disciplinarian\'s Drug Seminar. I know that everyone who attended will be able to take back what they learned to their high schools and continue their efforts to help make each high school campus in the Lafayette Diocese drug free. We can accomplish so much more when we all pull together. Thanks for allowing these officers to work with us. Sincerely, Terri L. Baudier, Assistant Principal, Teurlings Catholic High School ”

“ Dear Sheriff Neustrom, Earlier this summer we accepted the resignation of an employee whose domestic issues, in our opinion, had the potential of spilling over into our office work environment. In order to enhance security and provide visible protection and reassurance for our staff, we contacted Deputy Art Marullo at 8:00PM for assistance in obtaining a private security detail. Shortly afterwards, Sgt. Blake Gallet called and arranged to have Deputy Brent Ledoux at our office at 7:00AM the next day and Detective Josh Kaplan at our office the morning after that. Impressive response. We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your department's prompt response and professional support. Deputy Marullo and Sgt Gallet were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive. It was a pleasure to work with them to resolve our security concerns. Deputy Ledoux and Detective Kaplan, were likewise professional, knowledgeable, courteous, well groomed, enthusiastic about the assignment, and responsive to our concerns and direction. They projected a high level of confidence and were very reassuring to our staff. You have assembled a good team and we commend you for your efforts to serve the community. Lord knows you hear all about it when citizens do not approve of something. Merci! ”

“ On behalf of our IWO JIMA Veterans Reunion Committee, I wish to convey sincere appreciation for providing our guests with assistance to cross Pinhook Road from the Lafayette Hilton Hotel two weeks ago. But - that's not all - The two patrol deputies (Carriere & Walker) who escorted the tour bus to and from the VFW Post in Judice were courteous and professional. Be assured they represented your department very well. With kindest personal regards, I am Sincerely, Harry McCauley ”
