Food Net Board of Directors Appreciates LPSO Assis
Dear Mike, On behalf of the Board of Directors of Foodnet and the thousands of less-fortunate people who benefit from our food bank, I want to express our gratitude to you and the Department for the major role that you played in our annual Christmas Food Drive. The Twenty-Third annual KLFY-TV-10/Foodnet “Food for Families” food drive was a great success – one of our best. We finished with a total of seventy-four tons of food. Our success could not have been realized without your co-operation and the assistance of the Trustees. The courtesy and co-operation of my friend, Albert Glaude. Albert is always there with his calmness and re-assurance when just about everything is dependent on the assistance of the trustees. I am very grateful to all of you. Sincerely Marcelle F. Citron Founder/Chairman

“ Dear Sheriff Neustrom, We are certainly saddened to hear of the passing of Canine "Hector". Our deepest condolence to all of you from all of us at the St. Martin Sheriff's Office. I know that Canine "Hector" was part of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office family. May you and your Law Enforcement family have special memories of the incredible life that was shared with your deputies and this beloved canine. May you find comfort in the inner strength of one another. If I can ever be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Ronald J. Theriot, Sheriff St. Martin Parish ”

“ Sherriff Neustrom, This past month Louisiana ran one of the largest Disaster Food Stamp Programs in the history of our country. Here in Lafayette Parish we tookk 35,411 applications at Blackham Coliseum for Hurricanes Gustav/Ike Disaster Food Stamps. We could not have done such an efficient job without the help of our partners who came to our assistance. The staff at Lafayette Parish Office of Family Support would like to personnally thank you for stopping by our site almost daily and for providing security at Blackham Coliseum. Your deputies were a tremendous help to us with general security, parking and crowd control. Please extend our thanks to them also. This event is a prime example of how different agencies can work together successfully for a common cause. Again, please express our gratitude to all those in your department who helped with our Disaster Food Stamp Program Thanks Bonnie M. Bulliard Parish Manager ”
