Deputy of the Quarter
3rd Quarter 2008 "Administration" honoree.

Deputy Caddie is assigned to the Office of Outside Employment and has been nominated for her actions during Hurricane Gustav. When it became apparent that Gustav would affect Lafayette, the owners of two pharmacies (both of which have been robbed in the past) contacted Major Frusha to voice concerns over the welfare of their establishments and to request the presence of deputies during the storm. Despite the short notice, Deputy Caddie was able to schedule round-the-clock security for both businesses and maintain regular contact with the owners to assure them their properties were safe. Through her efforts, Deputy Caddie “represented the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office in an exemplary fashion.”

Commendations

Sheriff Michael W. Neustrom has established the Deputy of the Quarter awards to honor one outstanding Deputy each quarter from Administration, Enforcement and Corrections. Any LPSO employee may submit nominations for this award. A panel consisting of the Sheriff and each Division Head votes on the winner.
