Biography Major Art LeBreton, a veteran of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office with over 20 years of service, was named Chief Deputy by Sheriff Neustrom in March of 2004, and is the Enforcement Division Commander. Major Lebreton has worked as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, CID Detective and Patrol Commander. Major LeBreton is a life long resident of Lafayette, a graduate of Lafayette High School, and the LSU Law Enforcement Institute Executive Program where he finished first in his class.
The Enforcement Division includes Criminal Investigations (CID), Uniform Patrol, Metro Narcotics (a joint task force made up of Lafayette City Police Officers and Deputies of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office) and Evidence.
