LPSO Work Release Manager Earns Professional Designation

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Lieutenant Armen Alexandrian manager of the LPSO Work Release Program has earned the Certified Corrections Manager (CCM) designation from the American Correctional Association.
Prior to certification applicants must first qualify on the basis of experience and accomplishments in the field of corrections. Then, they must successfully complete a comprehensive examination that tests their knowledge as a Corrections Manager.
The CCM designation is an indication of demonstrated professionalism involving such activities as managing human resources, enhancing the institution environment, managing offenders, managing a department; developing/maintaining expertise, and general knowledge concerning the field of corrections.
The American Correctional Association certification program is designated to advance the overall level of professionalism in the corrections field.
