Corrections Supervisors Complete Rigorous Leadership Training

During the weeks of October 17- 28 Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Corrections Supervisor completed the rigorous Leadership and Adventure Based Training Challenge. The training consisted of four days of outdoor activities combined with classroom training, all of which was aimed at making managers better supervisor and leaders, by building their self-esteem, communication, judgment and decision-making skills, conflict resolution skills and team building ability. Classroom training was based on The Leadership Challenge Curriculum. This internationally recognized leadership development program is based on the evidence based concepts developed in research by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner.
