Police Cadets to Graduate

The Acadiana Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA) will graduate 16 cadets representing 8 local law enforcement agencies on Friday October 26, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Wharton Hall Room # 222 on University of Louisiana at Lafayette Campus 411 East St. Mary Street, Lafayette. 

These cadets from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, University of Louisiana at Lafayette Police, Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lake Fausse State Park Police, Cottonport Police, Lafayette Police, Crowley Police and Scott Police have endured 11 weeks of rigorous and intense training on law enforcement techniques.  Some of the included training includes Louisiana Law, Federal Constitutional Law, Supreme Court Guidance, Crime Scene Processing, Patrol Techniques, Defensive Tactics, Handgun proficiency and other required training to achieve a state certification from the Louisiana Police Officer Standard Training (POST) Council. 

The public is invited to attend the graduation ceremony on Friday
