Monday, March 16, 2015

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly announces that Deputy Angela Labrie, a deputy in the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division, has been selected as the latest winner of the Challenge Coin Award. This award recognizes Corrections employees who, through their work ethic and actions, personify the attributes of leadership, creativity, honor, and innovation. The award is unique in that every new winner is selected by the current winner, making it truly a peer-to-peer award.

Angela was nominated by the previous winner, Deputy Lisa Sampe. In Deputy Sampe’s nomination letter, she wrote, “I met Angela while teaching my first in-service class. It’s always a pleasure to have Angela in my classes. Angela is always willing to participate in the activities that I have set fourth for training. Also, when she does attend training she is always prepared and ready. This shows that she is serious about training, the importance of her training and her  job duties. Angela also has a welcoming spirit; she is always friendly and has a positive attitude. ”

The Challenge Coin Award process now stipulates that Angela identify and nominate the next award winner. Congratulations to Deputy Angela Labrie on being recognized for a job well done!
