Acadiana Recovery Center awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Tuesday, May 5, 2015

Lafayette, Louisiana — May 4, 2014 — CARF International announced that Acadiana Recovery Center has been accredited for a period of three years for its Residential Treatment program. The latest accreditation is the first Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to Acadiana Recovery Center.
On March 25-27, 2015, a CARF surveyor conducted an in-depth survey of Acadiana Recovery Center’s residential treatment program and the services it provides to its clients. The survey conveyed that Acadiana Recovery Center’s Residential Treatment Program has strengths in many areas such as the leadership team demonstrating a clear sense of vision for the provision of high quality treatment services and pursuing creative service options and partnerships in pursuit of this vision. In addition, clients express an exceptionally high sense of satisfaction with the services received and with the care and competence of program personnel. Clients credit the program and staff members with the ability to help them, where other programs have not proven effective.
”This is a amazing achievement for our agency that highlights the incredible work the Sheriff’s Office employees are doing on a daily basis in meeting our vision of Challenging Ourselves to Provide Innovative Programs for a Safer Community. We are the only Sheriff’s Office in the United States to have a CARF accredited Residential Treatment Program,” said Marie Collins LPC, LMFT, LAC, Treatment Programs Manager, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Acadiana Recovery Center is a not-for-profit organization located at 401 W. Vermilion St. Lafayette, Louisiana. It has been providing residential treatment services to the citizens of Lafayette Parish since 1999.
