ARC Celebrates CARF Accreditation

The Acadiana Recovery Center (ARC) a part of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Treatment Programs department, today celebrated having earned their professional accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) an international accreditation firm. Marie Collins, Treatment Programs manager and staff of ARC celebrated at a staff reception covered by local media. We congratulate all of those who made it possible.
The Acadiana Recovery and Rehabilitation Center operates out of two locations 401 West Vermilion Street, which houses the Residential & Intensive Outpatient Program and 100 Poydras Street, which houses outpatient services. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office has been providing services from the 100 Poydras location since 2006. The Acadiana Recovery and Rehabilitation Center was established in 1999, but came under the operated and managed of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Treatment Programs Department earlier this year. The ARC facility has a capacity of 24 patient beds combined with other housing resources we can accommodate over 100 patients. Treatment services are available to the general public.
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
