Three men arrestted for attempted home invasion

On September 3, 2011 at 1:35 AM, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported disturbance in the 700 Block of Pope Drive in Nothwest Lafayette Parish. Deputies were advised by the residents of a home there that three men had approached their home and smashed several windows and threatened to come into their home. The suspects never made entry but did cause considerable damage to the home and to the victim’s vehicle before fleeing the area in a vehicle. Deputies were provided with a vehicle description and located the suspects in the area where two of the three suspects were taken into custody, the third suspect was taken into custody around 4:25 AM on Loveteau Road. All three suspects listed below have been charged with attempted home invasion and simple criminal damage to property. The relationship between the victim and the suspects was unclear but is under investigation.

Arrestted were Shane Touchet 20 years old, Jamal Robinson 21 years old and Devin Romero 18 years old all from Carencro, Romero has posted bond; Touchet and Robinson remain at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
