Lt. Sheila LeJeune Receives Inaugural Corrections Challenge Coin Award

Lt. Sheila LeJeune, Lafayette Parish Correctional Center Food Services Manager was announced today as the first LPSO Corrections Challenge Coin Award Winner. In her nomination letter her supervisor said, “Lt. LeJeune, for many years has done an outstanding job in running the Food Service Department. Lt. LeJeune has continually met all the challenges that have been placed before her. It is her leadership, creativity, honor and innovation that has allowed her to maintain an excellent department”

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division Challenge Coin Award is given to the person whose actions, attitude or work ethic best represents the qualities the coin represents. These qualities include Creativity, Innovation, Leadership, Excellence, and Honor. The LPS0 Challenge Coin Awards are unique in that they are awarded peer to peer. Once receiving the award, it is incumbent on the recipient to identify and nominate the next winner. Challenge coin winners also exemplify the agencies credo “Serving the community with Courtesy Professionalism and Respect”.
