Mother Arrest for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

Friday, January 13, 2012

On Friday January 13, 2012, Juvenile Detectives with the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office arrested 43 year old Kimberly Tant of Eunice for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
The Lafayette Police Dept.   arrested and detained Kimberly Tant on a burglary charge when they discovered that she had two minor daughters 13, and 14 years old staying at a motel alone in Lafayette Parish. They requested Lafayette Sheriff’s Office to assist with locating the minors. Upon locating the minors Deputies learned from the 14 year old female that her mother Kimberly had brought her to the Louisiana Dept. of Motor vehicles and obtained a False Louisiana I.D.  which stated she was 19 years old.  The mother then directed the juvenile to seek employment at a local exotic Men’s Club, where she worked for several days.
Kimberly Tant is presently incarcerated at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and being held on a$15,000 bond, the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
