LPSO Gives Away Inmate Produced Pet Beds Made of Recycled Uniforms

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Eighty two pet beds were given away this past weekend at the Strut Your Mutt Walk, held Saturday. The pet beds are produced by Inmate workers at the LPSO‘s LAPCORR Industries. The beds are made from worn/unusable inmate uniforms that are salvaged and sewn together to create the pet beds. The beds are part of the “go green” initiative as the old uniforms previously would have been discarded. The beds are available to local not for profit animal shelters. Requests for the beds can be made by calling LAPCORR Industries at 236-5856.
