Nine Students to Graduate from LPSO Juvenile Program

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Lafayette Parish School System, is proud to graduate its 2010 class of the Juvenile Day Reporting Program (JDRC). The graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, may 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the Community Corrections Campus located at 100 Poydras Street in Lafayette.
The graduating students will be advancing in grades between 6th and 9th. awards will also be given for Most Improved, and Outstanding Cadet.
Students in the program are referred to the program by the Lafayette Parish School System and strides to improve study and social decision making skills as well as some physical training. Students with passing LEAP scores can continue to advance in grade levels. The goal of the program is to provide the students with the skills necessary to be intergraded back into the regular school system.
