Award was presented to Sheriff Neustrom and staff Sunday, January 24th, at the annual confrence being held in New Orleans. The Lafayette Parish Correctional Center received an overall score of 98 out of 100, with 100% compliance of all mandatory standards and 98% compliance of non-mandatory standards. The highest score of any agency in the district.
Congratulations goes out to the LPCC Accreditation Team who throughout the year maintains records of standards being followed as well as to the LPCC staff and management who do an outstanding job of making our facility one of the best.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office holds a total of seven national and international accreditations. In the past year, LPSO added the Transitional Work Program to the departments and programs now nationally accredited. Today, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office holds more national accreditations than any other sheriff’s office in the state and only one of a handful in the nation to have earned accreditation from four of the leading law enforcement and medical accrediting organizations in the country.
