21 Students Graduate From LPSO Career Academy

Graduates of the 2004 Law Enforcement Career Academy were honored at a ceremony Thursday evening at the Lafayette Sheriff's Community Training Center. Sheriff Mike Neustrom and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office congratulate the following graduates:

Acadiana High School - Heath Bexley, Shawnta Davis, Maigen Miller, Brandon Roger

Carencro High School - Cory Hebert, Trey Perrio, Archie Vallier, Brandon Williams, Tamara Wilson

Comeaux High School - Kendall Broussard, Lester Tisdale, Garrison Vizena

Lafayette High School - Leonard Duhon, Ryan Hatton, Derrick Jackson, Jarvis Joseph, Eric Robin, Cory Trahan, Elizabeth Trahan, Zachary Williams

Northside High School - Adam Garrett

The Law Enforcement Career Academy is conducted by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office through a partnership with the Lafayette Parish School Board. Junior and Senior High School students are eligible to participate and earn one credit towards their high school degree by successfully completing this “modified law enforcement academy." Students attend classes taught by LPSO Deputies twice weekly for lessons that include Criminal Code, Police Ethics, Victim Rights, Media Relations, First Aid & CPR, Firearms, Police Survival, and Patrol Methods.
