Carencro Man exposes himself to elderly lady

Friday, January 27, 2012

On Thursday January 26, 2012, a resident in the 400 block of Bradford Street, Carencro reported to Lafayette Sheriff’s Deputies that a black, male standing on the street in front of her residence pulled his pants down exposing his genitals as the elderly female resident appeared in front of her window.  While the resident was reporting the incident to the 911 operator she peered out a second time to see if the man was still present and again the male reportedly exposed himself.

Responding deputies obtained information that the man was believed to be at a home in 300 block of Auburn Street. Deputies located Jackie Rufus Wiggins 45 years old of Carencro who was positively identified as the man who had exposed himself.  Wiggins was taken to the Parish Correctional Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing for the obscenity charge.
