Kendall Provost is the Challenge Coin Award Recipient for January

Thursday, January 17, 2013

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly announces that Deputy Kendall Provost has been selected as the January winner of the Challenge Coin Award. This award recognizes Corrections employees who, through their work ethic and actions, personify the attributes of leadership, creativity, honor and innovation. Deputy Provost works as a security officer in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The award is unique in that every new winner is selected by the current winner, making it truly a peer-to-peer award.

Kendell was nominated by Intake Clerk Jessica Hall who was honored with the same award last week. In her nomination letter, Jessica wrote, “Deputy Provost goes out of his way to show teamwork to his fellow deputies, especially in the Classifications Department. When he is assigned to work the first floor, he always asks if there anything he can help us with, such as moving inmates from roll-in pod to their assigned floor. Deputy Provost never hesitates to assist our department in any way he can.”

The Challenge Coin Award process now stipulates that Kendall identify and nominate the next award winner. Congratulations Deputy Kendell Provost on being recognized for a job well done!
