Scholarship winners 2013

Sheriff Mike Neustrom has awarded two high school seniors with educational scholarships of $500 each. One is awarded by the Louisiana Sheriff’s Scholarship Program to high school senior in each parish selected by the Sheriff in that parish. Sheriff Neustrom has awarded a second scholarship to a senior in Lafayette Parish for the past 12 years.
This year a Carencro High School Senior Garrett Steven Lavergne of Scott and a Senior from Lafayette Christian Academy Hannah Richard of Lafayette will each be awarded $500.00 in educational incentive dollars.
Garrett Lavergne has a 3.0 grade point average intends to attend South Louisiana Community College and ULL in pursuit of an Industrial Technology Degree. He is the son of Greg and Lorie Lavergne.
Hannah Richard has a 4.0 grade point average scored a 26 on her ACT and intends to attend ULL in pursuit of Criminal Justice Degree. Her parents are Ravis and Brenda Richard.
These two recipients were selected from over 50 applicants from throughout Lafayette Parish.
