Sergeant Kristy Wright is the August Challenge Coin Award Recipient

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly announces that Sgt. Kristy Wright has been selected as the August winner of the Challenge Coin Award. This award recognizes Corrections employees who, through their work ethic and actions, personify the attributes of leadership, creativity, honor and innovation. Sergeant Wright is a supervisor in the Intake area of the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The award is unique in that every new winner is selected by the current winner, making it truly a peer-to-peer award.

Kristy was nominated by Andrea Frank the prior winner. In her nomination letter, Andrea wrote, “I have had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Wright in Intake and would like to acknowledge you a person, a co-worker, a team leader and as an inspiration, not only to lead, but being a dedicated employee; when asked to give my opinion of what I consider a hard worker, your name comes to mind. Your job performance is conducted in a manner that aims towards high standards. Your honesty and integrity are some of the values that I hope every employee would carry throughout their duties while working at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.”

The Challenge Coin Award process now stipulates that Kristy identify and nominate the next award winner. Congratulations Kristy Wright on being recognized for a job well done!
