Deputy Ricky Soulaire is the November Challenge Coin Award Recipient

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly announces that Deputy Ricky Soularie has been selected as the November winner of the Challenge Coin Award. This award recognizes Corrections employees who, through their work ethic and actions, personify the attributes of leadership, creativity, honor and innovation. Deputy Soulaire is assigned to the Juvenile Services department of the Lafayette Parish Corrections Division. The award is unique in that every new winner is selected by the current winner, making it truly a peer-to-peer award.
Ricky was nominated by Beverlyna Handy the prior winner. In her nomination letter, Beverlyna wrote, “I have worked with Deputy Soulaire and have witnessed firsthand his ability to be a professional team player. He works diligently to complete tasks and goes beyond the call of duty to assist others in need. He has a positive and supportive attitude, and is always courteous and helpful. He is always ready to assist new staff, and makes everyone feel a part of the team. When challenging situations arise, he finds a way to resolve them. Deputy Soulaire displays a character of dedication, and is a hard working.”
The Challenge Coin Award process now stipulates that Ricky identify and nominate the next award winner. Congratulations Ricky Soulaire for a job well done!
