Monday, May 11, 2015
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly announces that Deputy Edward Cormier, a road crew deputy in the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division, has been selected as the May winner of the Challenge Coin Award. This award recognizes Corrections employees who, through their work ethic and actions, personify the attributes of leadership, creativity, honor, and innovation. The award is unique in that every new winner is selected by the current winner, making it truly a peer-to-peer award.
Ed was nominated by the previous winner, Deputy Linda Watson. In Deputy Watson’s nomination letter, she wrote, “I Deputy Linda Watson, have chosen Deputy Edward Cormier, for the next Challenge Coin Award. Deputy Cormier is a hard worker with a good work ethic, a great personality, and a team player. Deputy Cormier goes above and beyond his duties to give a helping hand to his peers and never complains. Deputy Cormier knows his policies and would be a great leader in the future. Deputy Cormier is surely deserving of this Challenge Coin Award.”
The Challenge Coin Award process now stipulates that Ed identify and nominate the next award winner. Congratulations to Deputy Edward Cormier on being recognized for a job well done!
