Resiliency groups can increase student's perceptions of confidence and self-worth, develop awareness of substance abuse and violence, help with reducing disciplinary behavior in school, and foster community involvement to promote youth development.
Students attend weekly group meetings and participate in monthly community service or adventure activities. Check and Connect groups are held at area schools during elective hours. Students are responsible for missed class assignments and lectures.
