Facilities Management

The Facilities Management Section is responsible for key and electronic access control, general maintenance, and new construction and renovation of all physical plants owned and occupied by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. Cost-effective solutions, foresighted planning, timely response to service calls, and long-term maintainable approaches are the objectives of our physical plant maintenance and development projects.

Our primary service areas include the daily maintenance and repair of 19 Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office owned/occupied buildings (over 351,000 square foot combined total) on 14 different sites within Lafayette Parish, ensuring that a key and electronic access control system is maintained system-wide, operating and maintaining the agency’s computerized maintenance management system, work orders, preventative maintenance, perform inventory control, and coordinating physical plant development projects in order to ensure that new construction or renovation does not adversely affect the compliance of existing facilities in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
